Hi guys, this is a review of the Boon LAWN Countertop Drying Rack that my wife and I bought a month after our baby was born.
I love this thing. It’s made cleaning baby stuff way easier ever since we got it.
When my wife and I started this whole baby enterprise, we did not have a separate drying rack for our baby bottles. We just sort of stacked them on dry towels on the countertop or mixed them in with our regular dishes. This “non-system” really drove us crazy when we were trying to sort out all of our baby bottle pieces.
So we went to the baby store and got the Boon LAWN rack.
The concept is elegantly simple. The drying rack consists of plastic spikes (green, so it’s like a Lawn, right?) spaced apart by about a quarter inch or so. The drying area is a generous 11 x 13.4 inches. The spiked rack sits on a white tray to catch the water.
Everything sticks on this thing:
- Baby bottle components
- Breast pump components
- Baby spoons
- Cups
- Toys
- Random stuff
As we have moved on from baby bottle feeding to solid foods, our Boon Lawn drying rack has proven to be one of the most useful baby-related kitchen appliances that we have purchased. The picture at the top of this post is from last night’s clean-up. The LAWN holds pretty much all baby stuff that we can throw at it.
There is also the Boon GRASS Drying Rack, which is basically a smaller version (9.4 x 9.4 inch footprint) of the LAWN rack.
Also available is the Boon PATCH Drying Rack, which is a strip (17.2 x 3 inch footprint) to fit into small spaces.
I am totally glad that I got the large-size LAWN rack since we definitely needed the extra real estate as my baby grows.
This is a solid addition to your kitchen. Keeps you organized, separates all the baby stuff from the adult stuff, and most importantly, it dries your baby gear. Totally worth the buy.
